To promote the ownership and sport of purebred dogs and breeding for type and function.   We act as advocates for the purebred dog as a family companion; to advance canine health and well being; work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership.

OBJECTIVES

To advance the study, breeding, exhibiting, running and maintenance of pruebred dogs; to support dog shows, obedience and agility training and trials.  

MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Indianhead Kennel Club is open to anyone who is in good standing with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is interested in promoting the sport of purebred dogs.   Dog ownership is not necessary to become a member.   General Membership meetings are held monthly.   With some exceptions, the General meeting is usually held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Rude Dog University at 7:00 PM.  The IKC Board meeting is held after the general meeting.   We hold a picnic social event in August at a local park and an awards dinner in January at different local restaurants.   We have fun -  come and join us!
