HISTORY of the Indianhead Kennel Club, Inc.

1960 - The Indianhead Kennel Club Inc. was formed.

April 1 1962   - The IKC held training classes at the Import Motors Building in Eau Claire, WI.

August 26. 1962 - The IKC held its 1st Obedience Match in Carson Park in Eau Claire, WI

February 24, 1963 - The IKC held its 2nd Obedience Match at the Eau Claire Central Junior High School Gymnasium.

August 25, 1963 - The IKC held an Conformation A and AO Match at Memorial High School, Eau Claire, WI - classic!! group winning pictures are on the photo album link.

February 22?, 1964 - The IKC held a Conformation A and AO Match at Memorial High School, Eau Claire, WI. 

March 4, 1965 - The IKC had a Conformation Match held at Memorial High School, Eau Claire, WI.

August 15, 1965 - First Dog Show at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, WI.

February 27, 1966 - Sanctioned Conformation Match at Memorial High School Gymnasium, Eau Claire, WI.

August 14, 1966 - 2nd Annual All Breed Dog show - Carson Park, Eau Claire, 478 dogs, 49 of them champions.  See the BIS English Setter in the photo album.

August 9, 1970 - 1,075 dogs (131 were champions) were entered at the 6th annual Dog Show and Obedience Trial in 6 out door rings at the Memorial High School Athletc Field.

August 11, 1974 - 10th Annual all breed Dog Show held at the Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls - 1,275 entries.

February 15, 1975 - IKC's 2nd Purebred Dog Exhibit at London Square Mall, Eau Claire, WI - see press release in photo section

August 10, 1975 - 11th annual all breed Dog Show held at the Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls - 1,364 emtries.

August 15, 1976 - 12th annual all breed Dog Show Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls, WI.

1978 - Webb Dog Show Superintendent filed Bankruptcy on the IKC.

November 24, 1990 - The Coulee Kennel Club of LaCrosse, WI came to Eau Claire and held a dog show the day after the IKC show, held at the downtown Eau Claire Civic Center.
